I wonder how much influence Genderism will have on American voters. Apparently Republicans are making a lot of ads about it.

This is a complex question. There is a large gender gap: women voting more Democrat and men voting more Republican. Harris (wisely, I think) has avoided the angle of "vote for me so we can have a female president or a minority president." Appeals to gender didn't work well for Clinton. In this election the restrictions on abortion in some states that have kicked in after Dobbs v Jackson overthrew Roe v Wade has increased Harris' appeal to women, and Trump is rightly getting the blame for the current situation. I hope that Trumps obvious sexism and racism turns off more voters than it attracts, but we may never know.

By “Genderism” I meant the belief that we have gendered souls that sometimes misalign with our sexed bodies. I.e. transgenderism. I agree Trump is awful and if I was American I’d vote for some third party candidate but I can’t help but feel a certain joy that all the BS about trans is being used to wedge the Democrats.
